Add a "Centre to Geometry" Function to Camera Target point

Hey everyone

Before I state my suggestion, I am aware of the double click function to centre the camera, however, if a camera has already been set up the double-click does not override the setup.

Here is the suggestion.

When we re-uploaded a number of files that were accidentally scaled incorrectly (on our end) to a different scale our target of the camera was way out-of-wack since the original target was in such a different place. Getting the target to the centre of the scene was inefficient with us having to work in each 2D Plane from X to Y to Z plane to be accurate. It was simple to do this for 1 model, but with 35 separate scenes, it was time consuming.

A centre-to-Geometry button would have helped greatly.

Thanks.

Hey,

I’m not sure I understand the difference between the double-click (or spacebar) function and your suggestion.

“if a camera has already been set up the double-click does not override the setup.” - this function will always center to the geometry’s bounding box, unless you have camera limits enabled.

Can you explain with an example maybe?
