Hey there!

Like many before me, I’m looking for a way to edit the 3D settings of my models using the Data API, so that I can simply share the model, without having to host my own Viewer.

Is it somehow possible (via workaround or undocumented request option) to turn off the setting “vertex color”?

Sadly my exports always turn out pretty dark, which can be fixed by switching to shadeless and turning off vertex color, however I’d like to automate that.

In short: no you can’t patch a model but you can build a custom viewer to mitigate this.
