Embedded/shared models are only visible

(Beak Black) #1

This allows your models to only be visible outside Sketchfab to other sources such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and more, while it’s completely hidden in Sketchfab including in your account. (Only you can see your models in your account, so you can edit them as always)

This will give more freedom for creators without violating the community rules in Sketchfab. (Because your models with this feature will not be shown in Sketchfab, only outside of it)
It’s kinda like Private mode, but different.

It might be better for FREE accounts.
If not, PRO accounts?

Leave your thoughts about it…

In the future we hope to implement domain-level privacy, such that users will be able to choose exactly where models can be viewed or embedded. It’s not on the short-term roadmap, but it is on our todo list, and it will probably be a paid feature. Vimeo has a good implementation that I hope one day could inform our own: https://help.vimeo.com/hc/en-us/articles/224817847-Privacy-settings-overview

That said, models which violate our community rules and terms of service are still subject to moderation, even if they are private and regardless of where they are embedded.
