Hi. Are there any soft caps on triangle count or file size we should be aware of when it comes to determining the winner? My apartment is getting pretty hefty.

Hi @jakecircles! There are no polycount caps. The only thing to bear in mind is that judges will be considering “suitability for real-time”. So, as long as your model displays well and isn’t weighed down with too many super heavy textures or effects, you should be good. Here are some tips to improve viewer performance, in case it’s a problem that you end up running into.

i wanted to upload my Modern Apartment challenge but it says that you only can upload 50 mb and my file is almost 1 gb is there a way to upload it

1GB is a lot - such a scene likely won’t even work well in real-time anymore. You should probably try to reduce mesh complexity, bake some details to normal maps and perhaps combine texture maps into atlasses?

This was our first archviz challenge and you all crushed it. Great job, everyone!

And the winner is...

Modern High Rise Apartment (VR Scaled) by LoneDeveloper

Here’s what the judges had to say about it:

“Very nice model with high-quality furniture. However, the use of annotation is the best.” - Geoffrey (@geoffreymarchal)

“Good topology, textures/colors feel well balanced. Good job at light and AO bake. The apartment feels like a real living space.” - Warkarma (@warkarma)

“The small details bring this empty apartment to life and the baked lighting tip it over the edge for me :)” - Tom (@nebulousflynn)

“This is the one I expected. Great details, overall nice apartment.” - Mieke (@miekeroth)
