FEATURE REQUEST: Dropdown for navigation instructions

(Swami Mathtraveler) #1

Greetings SF team,

I embed SF models on my site (e.g. http://swamistuff.com/stuff-math-digitsums.html). Many visitors know NOTHING about SF and how to get around. It would be very helpful if, like 'More info.' there was a 'Navigation' dropdown. Instead, at present, I include a little help - like...

(Click-n-drag to orbit. Use keyboard 'j' & 'k' to cycle thru annotations. Double-click to center on a point.)

OR

ABOUT NAVIGATION

- In Sketchfab:
(in full-screen)
-- RESET: spacebar.
-- CYCLE ANNOTATIONS: keyboard 'j'/'k'.
-- CENTER VIEW ON POINT: double-click.

This solution means the website developer (me!) must insert this code for every model, plus it presents a maintenance issue. So, please consider throwing the newbies a bone to ensure they have an enjoyable, positive experience with SF.

Thx for your consideration.

SuggestivelYours,

Swami

Hi @swami_mathtraveler,

thanks for the suggestions. We're definitely working on something like that.
