Fog in sketchfab

This post is about for in sketchfab.
Yesterday I started to investigate what would be the best approach to achieve the most realistic effect of fog that would still be able to run on mobile devices.
In till now there's there options
- an array of planes with a low opacity material applied
- baked particles

Does anyone have experience with fog? Tips are welcome!


I'm no expert, but I've seen both approaches done successfully on Sketchfab. An array of transparent planes is probably going to be more performant that a bunch of particles, depending on how many points you need.
