How to create halo effect (Rayleigh Scattering) around Earth?

blender

Hi everyone,

I recently uploaded this Earth model and i wonder how to create halo effect (Rayleigh scattering?) around the Earth in Sketchfab?

I have this effect in Blender, created with material nodes but i couldn’t bake this material as i did with surface and clouds textures.

Here is the material node and its effect in Blender:

Render of the model with some adjustments.

Create another sphere in the model that is slightly larger than the globe. Make an opacity and emission map and toy with the settings until you reach the desired effect.

Model already has 3 object: Atmosphere, Clouds, Earth (Can be seen in Model Inspector). And i had already tested your suggestion but the problem is it gives blue tint everywhere which is not desired. I need something to replicate the ‘layer weight’ in the material editor of Blender. That node creates gradient like effect (more visibility towards edge) view dependent.

Try bake it onto the emission map so you get a gradient in the desired area instead of a uniform blue through out.
