Maya Arnold materials won’t export

I have a mode in Maya 2018 with materials from Arnold. I have tried exporting as fbx and as obj/mtl. I have also tried the sketchfab direct upload from maya. In none of these can I get the materials from maya in sketchfab. Thoughts?


Proprietary and/or 3rd party renderers can be tricky because they tend to not export materials/textures in a way that’s compatible with other software or real-time renderers. They are mostly built to produce 2D renders. They almost certainly won’t be exported to an exchange format like FBX. You will most likely need to bake your Arnold materials into traditional textures, or change to a different workflow.
