Normal map baking issue

Hi there,
I was working on a project, and while I was baking this normal map onto a cilinder I came across this issue. (I baked the normal map in maya and xnormal)

while my seam is not there and the normals are also softened, the normal still flips on that edge loop
I have not mirrored my object and all the normals face the same way.

anyone has a suggestion ?

I've seen stuff like that happen if you're Uvs are not attached there too. Maybe check that?

I've checked the uv's and they were attached :frowning: thank you for the response though

Dang. Well you could also check for reversed normals or overlapping UVs. I'd also try unlocking the normals just to be sure. (Mesh Display > Unlock normals)
