Placing private models on a website

(TecDesign) #1

Hi all,

Is it posible to place private models on a website?
If so, how this should be done?

The webdesigner gets the following message
"The model can not be displayed on this site because your browser is blocking cookies."

We found a post on the forum,

and have applied the solutions, but still we get these message.

Does anyone know a solution?, help is appreciated.

Can you share a link where we can see the problem?

@mauricesvay

No sorry, it is unfortunately not possible to share a link.

This is what happens:
If you click away the message "The model can not be displayed on this site because your browser is blocking cookies", you can enter a password.

But once you do, the model is opened in a new tab.

Are you using a password, or is it private without a password?

There are some known issues related to cookies, in Safari for example: https://help.sketchfab.com/hc/en-us/articles/203059088-Compatibility#safari-cookies

Hi James,
Iam using a password, but if I understand correctly, it is also possible to upload your models private without password?

And thx voor sharing the link, I hope this helps.

Hi @tecdesign,

yes you can also set models to private without requiring a password. Anyone with the link will then be able to view the model. Here is more information:
