The Sketchfab Forum is now read-only

When we launched the Sketchfab Forum back in 2014, it quickly became one of the cornerstones of our community. But over the years we’ve seen activity slow down here. We’ve reached a point where we feel it’s no longer serving the purpose that it was built for. As a result, we have made this Forum read-only. You can still access and read posts that were written prior to June 1, 2023, but you may no longer create new posts.

Big thanks to all of our community members who, over the past 10 years, have made our Forum such a great resource. Your enthusiasm, assistance, and friendliness are a big part of why Sketchfab’s is such a pleasant community to be a part of.

Shame really.

Discord is no place to get help or questions answered.

10 million Sketchfab members - but populating a forum apparently isn’t possible? I find that a bit hard to believe.

We tried :slight_smile: But traffic just dried op here, shifting more to Discord and social media.

well… it depends on the people whether they use it or not. I prefer the forum as well, but even I noticed that it isn’t as active, at least for the moment…

that 10 million sketchfab members would be over the last 10 years+, currently active members would be much lower and those who have uploaded content in the last month lower still.

my thoughts would be the forum is being lost in an effort to streamline the site before integration with other Epic websites/brands to the new FAB.com later this year.

The forum is now in read only. We had a good run, but now we have to get ready for the launch of Fab.com later this year. See you there!
