Upload zip file doesn't work, only through Unity API upload

Hi, when I use the Unity plugin (https://github.com/sketchfab/unity-exporter/releases)
the upload works. But when I take the zip file that was generated and try to upload using the web site, it doesn't take it. No errors are being shown.

Also when exporting a shader with vertext colors, it doesn't have the colors in the uploaded model.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bart

Hi Bart,

Could you please send me a link to the model that should have vertex colors?

So you go through the upload dialog and it just stops and nothing happens? What about if you drag and drop the ZIP onto the website? (you can do this anywhere)

James

This is the file https://www.dropbox.com/s/twhnug11leynw42/ExportedObj.zip?dl=1

I made a video recording of the process, it reads the zip, shows the inside, and then just exits, no error.

Thanks! Ok, we found the bug in the upload popup and we will push a fix ASAP - if you drag and drop the file onto the website, it should work.

I took a look at the OBJ, but there are no vertex colors. Maybe they are not exported by Unity?

The upload popup problem should be fixed now.

Thanks James!, the upload is fixed indeed.

For the vertex colors, I used the this code https://github.com/sketchfab/unity-exporter/releases
But I just read that the Wavefront OBJ specification does not provide a way to save the Vertex color.

I found this
http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/modified-obj-export-script-includes-multiple-uvs-and-colors.17879

So I wil investigate further.
Do you know a way to export models with their colors?

It's possible to export OBJ with vertex colors, but I don't know about Unity.

Are you able to use materials or textures instead of vertex colors?
