I loaded my model into Sketchfab, downloaded Chromium to view it in VR. I can view it perfectly fine however, I can navigate using my Vive Wand Controller. When I click on the trackpad on either controller it doesn't show up or work.
I tried the navigation example of the boxes and was able to navigate in there, as well as scale the model.

There are issues with the last chrome webvr build. This issue has already reported (see https://forum.sketchfab.com/t/webvr-with-the-vive-doesnt-work/9779) and we still don't have any fix for this.
In the mean time, you can use this older build https://drive.google.com/a/sketchfab.com/folderview?id=0BzudLt22BqGRVFdtMElzRnU0aWs&usp=drive_web&tid=0BzudLt22BqGRY1JNbXhpQTNCa2c that should work well.
