World of Tanks Diorama - Work in Progress

height="480"> The WoT Website seems like a really sweet excuse to get to know Sketchfab. Really nice interface here. Anyways, this is what I've basically done so far. I'm using 3ds Max by the way. Wargaming, if you're there, a "hi" would really be appreciated lol.
All tips and questions are appreciated.

Apparently, splines in 3ds max can't be exported. I had to change a few things.

anyone know how to insert sketchfab models?

(Maxypants2010) #6

originally the landscape was made of 4 seperate bitmaps. There were some problems, so I merged the four maps into one for a cleaner look.

my own low poly hotchkiss model up close:

Added some antitank guns based on the German 70mm, I believe. Gonna work on a French artillery piece today.
<-- gonna model that!

Really cool! smiley I don't think you need any tips, because this looks awesome wink

(Maxypants2010) #20

thx tobias. Oh and another thumbsup to ur work too

@maxypants2010, I agree with Tobias, you don't need any tips! smile If anything, I would probably skip the soldiers, as we don't have any in World of Tanks, but its not really a requirement and I understand that they add to the atmosphere.

But I can tell you that all of us here are very excited to see what the end result will look like!

P.S.: I just watched all of your timelapse and was quite mesmerized!
